Penobscot Historical Society presents Historic Cemeteries of Penobscot on September 15 at 7PM at Penobscot United Methodist Church. See the flyer here.

With 73 cemeteries (71 of which are private ancient burial grounds) within 46.5 square miles, Penobscot has a rich burial history spanning almost two and a half centuries. 

This event is open to the public and will be held at the Penobscot United Methodist Church. Free admission (donations accepted). Light refreshments will be provided. Bathroom on-site. Accessible ramp on left side of building but no accessible parking (drop off only). On-site parking is limited. 

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Penobscot Historical Society, please bring a $10 cash/check membership fee to the meeting and speak to one of the PHS Officers before or after the event.
