REMINDER: Mill Creek Road Closure Begins 4/20/2026

Reminder that the Mill Creek Project is starting 4/20/2026 and is planned to continue through 5/20/206. Please prepare to use the detour if you are coming from West Penobscot.

• Detours: Traffic will be rerouted via Route 199 → Route 15 → Route 175 toward Castine.
• No burn permits will be issued in Penobscot during the closure.
• Transfer Station Alternative for West Penobscot: There will be a Bowden & Son Disposal compactor truck located at RH Foster at the end of the New Road.  Residents from West Penobscot will be able to take their trash there on Saturday ONLY Any metal or demo trash will have to be held at home until the project is complete or taken to the transfer station via the detour.
