A BIG THANK YOU for coming out to help at the Penobscot Clean Up Saturday on May 3rd!

Joanna stated The Cleanup Day  was a smashing success and that Ken at the transfer station reported that there were six or seven pickup trucks filled with bagged garbage from the event.

Janet says ‘A big “thank-you!” to the 60 people who helped with Penobscot Roadside Cleanup Day this year, in the biggest turnout so far! We covered all but four half-mile sections of state roads in town. Special thanks go to the group of RH Foster employees who came from out of town to work on the soggy New Road, and to residents, friends and family members who worked on their own if they couldn’t join in on May 3rd. We welcome seeing less trash and even more community members on future Roadside Cleanup Days, which are generally held on the Saturday after April school vacation week.’
