Stan Shorey Steps Down as Penobscot Selectman

Stanley Shorey, Penobscot Selectmen 1992-2017

The Town of Penobscot expresses its gratitude to Stanley Shorey for his 25 years of service to the town as a Selectman. At the beginning of the town meeting on Tuesday, Representative Karl Ward reminded attendees about Stan’s service to the town over the years, including his involvement in Boy Scouts, the Penobscot Fire Department, and his time as a bus driver when he was recognized as the 1997 Maine bus driver of the year.  Afterwards, Karl Ward presented Stan with a framed Expression of Sentiment from the Maine State Legislature recognizing his service to the town.

Thank you Stan for your years of service to our town. You are a valued friend and member of this community. We hope you enjoy your well-earned retirement.
