
Penobscot’s School Sustainment team has completed its report on options to increase enrollment, reduce school costs, and respond to a further decline in enrollment. The Phase 2 report evaluates options put forth by team members and other town residents, after researching and summarizing facts connected with these options. A public meeting will be scheduled to begin a community discussion of actions to be taken based on the information in the report. The School Sustainment team is part of the People’s Forum of Penobscot, a group of citizens who use a problem-solving approach to conduct unbiased, fact-based analyses of issues facing our town, as requested by the selectmen.
